deviantPLUS byZikes: [link]
You don't have to be a subscriber to use this. deviantPLUS is a custom user script written in javascript. It runs each time you visit deviantART and attaches a toolbar to comments, journals, forums, notes, shoutboards, deviation descriptions, and pretty much anywhere else you can type on dA. The toolbar has buttons for things such bolding, italicizing, underlining, hyperlinking, etc.
Free Brushes, Gradients, Contours, Styles...by jen-ni [Link]
You don't even have to leave dA to pick up some of the classiest brushes, filters, styles and gradients around, all lovingly created by jen-ni. These might even take your work in a new direction or get you over that hump. At the very least, you'll have fun lots of fun playing.
AMP Font Viewer: [link]
For a fontaholic like me, this is a must. You can organise your fonts by folder and also save your system's resources by loading as you need etc.
Irfanview: [link]
Like Windows Picture & Fax Viewer but much much more. Let's you view any file (Psd, Eps, Gif...) and adjust etc.
Gadwin PrintScreen: [link]
The best PrintScreen utility I've found.
UnFreez: [link]
I've seen some elaborate tuts for animated avatars on the web but this program is so simple. All you have to do is drag and drop your gifs in and it makes it for you. Save your gifs to the correct dimensions (100 x 100 pixels, upto 15kbs for dA), then drag and drop.
PixResizer: [link]
Resizes your images. A must for the web
